The Oaks Academy is a private school organization located in Indianapolis, located in two separate former Indianapolis Public School buildings. The Fall Creek building, located at 2301 North Park Avenue, is the former IPS #45 and was constructed in 1898. The building was enlarged in 1913 and again in 1950’s. The Brookside building, located at 3092 Brookside Parkway North Drive, is the former IPS #81 and was constructed in 1930.

Using a grant from the Indiana Landmarks Endangered Places Program, RATIO was engaged to complete reports on both buildings to  assess the existing conditions of the buildings and their sites and to make prioritized recommendations for exterior and interior repairs and improvements, along with estimated costs, to assist the school with budgeting and capital campaign purposes.

I was responsible for full documentation of both buildings, completing conditions assessments, developing the reports, and coordinating with the contractor for concentual pricing. Following completion of the reports, Oaks Academy also engaged the team to complete window replacement work on their North Park Avenue locations.
